His Majesty always prioritises the citizens’ and residents’ educational progress. Scholarships for
continuing education both within and outside country are granted to excellent students as a
commitment to develop skills and expertise in various fields. The prioritization of education is apparent
in His Majesty’s Government’s allocation of BND759 million for the Financial Year of 2021/2022. The
excellence of educational progress in this country also continues to increase with the achievements
of public examination results. In fact, Universiti Brunei Darussalam and Universiti Teknologi Brunei are
among the local universities that have been able to be placed within the rankings of the world’s best.
